The offseason for the 2022 Call of Duty League season is in full swing. Nearly every organization has announced a new roster for Call of Duty: Vanguard. Like many predicted, rostermania has been wild with veterans like Sam “Octane” Larew joining organizations they’ve played for before.
Only a few teams have yet to announce their new rosters — including London — although we’re pretty sure we know who is playing for them judging by early Call of Duty: Vanguard tournaments.
The deadline to announce contract extensions has past, meaning teams like Atlanta are all but locked in for the 2022 CDL season. We’ve got some huge moves o the books, including Ian “Crimsix” Porter to New York and a merger between Dallas and Chicago. There are also reports that a prospective Washington D.C. investor has lost interest in joining the league.

Atlanta FaZe
2021 champions Atlanta FaZe should keep its same starting roster from the Cold War season. While players like MVP Chris “Simp” Lehr might be on an expiring contract, it is expected they’ll sign extensions to stay with Atlanta for another title run.

Toronto Ultra
The kings of the North didn’t make any unexpected moves in the offseason. All starting players, including Tobias “CleanX” Juul Jønsson, have been signed through 2022. The only new addition is substitute Charlie “Hicksy” Hicks.

OpTic Texas
The Dallas Empire and OpTic Chicago have merged to create OpTic Texas. There should still be moves to made in bringing a new team into the Call of Duty League, but right now both Chicago and Empire are out of the action. The starting Texas roster combines two players from Dallas and Chicago, creating a powerhouse of a team that’s already performed well with Vanguard.

New York Subliners
New York is the landing spot for two former Empire players for the 2022 season. Superstar Ian “Crimsix” Porter joined his former teammate, James “Clayster” Eubanks ahead of Vanguard’s release. The Mutineers rising star, Travis “Neptune” McCloud rounds out the new additions to New York’s roster.

Minnesota Røkkr look to have one of the best rosters in the Call of Duty League heading into Vanguard after an incredible Stage 5 Major performance. They’ve brought back everyone except for Lamar “Accuracy” Abedi. They’ll look for a new substitute once Vanguard comes out.

The Mutineers have set their roster for Vanguard, including most of their 2021 core. Neptune is now in New York as David “Davpadie“ Maslowski replaces him in Florida.

LA Thieves have built a new roster around Kenny “Kenny” Williams with big names from both OpTic Chicago and Seattle Surge for the 2022 season. The only other returning member from the 2021 season is Zack “Drazah” Jordan.
