The World of Warcraft Arena World Championship Circuit will kick off on Saturday, Blizzard announced on Monday. For a total of four weeks, the top eight WoW AWC teams will duke it out against each other to secure a spot in the WoW AWC grand final.

How it works and where to watch

The Arena World Championship Circuit will showcase four weeks of round-robin matches, and each broadcast will begin with the European teams before the North American ones.

While the series will kick off this weekend, the second week of matches will happen from June 4-5. This will be followed by games from June 11-12 and June 18-19.

Each week, the live broadcast will commence at 1 p.m. ET on the official World of Warcraft YouTube channel. In addition to the English broadcast, there will be a language stream in German. As for the casters, they will include Gillian “Eiya” Long, Sid “Supatease” Compston, Elliott “Venruki” Venczel and Mohamed “Ziqo” Beshir.

After these four weeks, the top four teams will head to the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship grand final and the Cross-Region Tournament. While the grand final will take place from July 16-17, the Cross-Region Tournament will happen from July 23-24.

Journey to the WoW AWC Circuit

Back in March and April, the top eight regional teams earned a place in the Arena World Championship Circuit. While the kick-off weekend went to Kawhi and Kungarna, the following week’s champions were SK Pieces and Team Liquid. Kawhi and Kungarna became the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship Cup 3 and Cup 4 winners next, claiming their third weekly victory.

“These cups are especially exciting,” Adrian “Healingstat” Archer-Lock, the Associate Product Manager of World of Warcraft Esports, said back in March ahead of the matches. “Teams have been getting better and better with more orgs entering the space, ensuring the competition has never been higher in the history of AWC.”

The other top teams earned a place in the Arena World Championship Circuit as well, making it a total of eight teams per region. In addition to Kungarna and SK Pieces, the European region will include Bugs, Just Funny, LF Org, Delirium, MyWay and Casual Dads. Meanwhile, the North American teams will feature Kawhi, Team Liquid, Three and a Half Men, Unitas, Cloud9, Power Men, Novus and the Golden Guardians.
