Hearthstone Masters Tour Vashj’ir will kick off on June 30, Blizzard announced on Monday. It will be the fourth tournament of its kind this year, with competitors duking it out against each other for a chance at the $250,000 prize pool.
The event will also be the first Hearthstone Masters Tour of the season, which means players will duel for points toward a Masters Fall Championship invitation.
How Masters Tour Vashj’ir works and where to watch
The Hearthstone Masters Tour Vashj’ir matches will begin this Thursday on June 30. To begin the tournament, players will battle in four rounds of swiss pairings. On Friday, four more swiss rounds will be played before the round of 16, top eight, semifinals and finals on July 2.
As for the format, it will be under the conquest with a ban one, which means each player will bring four decks into the fray and ban one deck from their opponent. Those with the best-of-five score will advance to the next stage.
Hearthstone Masters Tour Vashj’ir will feature a live broadcast on YouTube. In addition to the English-language stream, streams will be available in Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. According to the announcement, the broadcasts will begin at 7 p.m. EST each day.
How to earn free Voyage to the Sunken City card packs
Viewers can earn a couple of Voyage to the Sunken City card packs during the live broadcast as well. To get the first pack, a viewer must watch two hours of the Hearthstone esports content. Another two hours must be watched to earn the second card pack. Since the time will be cumulative throughout the tournament, viewers don’t have to watch all four hours in one sitting.
A viewer’s YouTube and Battle.net accounts must be linked before they are eligible for drops. To connect the accounts, one should visit the “Connected Apps” section on YouTube and press the “Connect” button located beside Battle.net.
