The next iteration of VGBootCamp’s glitch-themed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament series is heading to Laurel, Maryland, this weekend. This time around, the focus will be on invited Cloud and Sephiroth players.
In addition, this tournament will be a gold event for the 2022 Smash World Tour. Here’s everything viewers need to know about Glitch: Regen going into this weekend.

Players to watch
Fresh off his second-place finish at Smash Ultimate Summit 5, Paris “Light” Ramirez is in a strong position to win Glitch: Regen. However, his projected path to victory includes a winners semis face-off against Brian “Cosmos” Kalu, who beat him the last time they played at Shine 2022.
Meanwhile, this will be Takuto “Kameme” Ono’s first American tournament since Let’s Make Big Moves in January of 2020. Since the return of offline events in 2021, Kameme has failed to put up consistently high-level results like he did prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, he was recently ranked top 10 in Japan, suggesting he still has what it takes to make a deep run at any major.
How to watch Glitch: Regen
The Glitch: Regen broadcast will take place across three Twitch channels: VGBootCamp, VGBootCamp2 and VGBootCamp3. The tournament will kick off with Doubles pools at 2 p.m. ET on Friday. Doubles will also conclude on Friday, with top four of that bracket starting at 6 p.m.
Then, Singles and Squad Strike pools will both begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Round two pools for Singles will start at 5 p.m. Later, top eight of the Squad Strike bracket will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Finally, the Singles bracket will conclude on Sunday. The final day of competition will start with top 32 at noon, followed by top 16 at 2 p.m. Afterward, Singles top eight will happen from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
