MIBR dominates Cloud9, and Fnatic takes down FaZe Clan to move on to the next round in the ELEAGUE Premier.
MIBR is coming off of a loss to North American squad, Team Liquid. Their matches against TL were pretty one-sided, with Liquid taking them down and controlling them right out of the gate. However, they come into this match at a better angle than Cloud9. Unfortunately, Astralis would smack Cloud9 down in their first match. MIBR is clearly the better team, and it would show. Cloud9 is still figuring things out and they are not even sure if this will be the lineup they will field in the future.
On the other side, FaZe Clan showing against Mousesports was entertaining, even in a loss. They were still one of the best teams in the world, but they had to prove themselves against Fnatic. Fnatic was recently defeated by ESL One Cologne champions Natus Vincere. However, Fnatic was able to keep that game interesting as well. Both teams still look like they have something to show the world, and they would treat fans to the most exciting match of CS:GO in the tournament.
MIBR Run Over Cloud9
It was clear from the beginning of not just this match, but this tournament that Cloud9 were not in-form. They are fielding two stand-in players in Maikil “Golden” Selim and Martin “STYKO” Styk. It isn’t even guaranteed that this will be the same team that Cloud9 will enter the next Major tournament with. MIBR, on the other hand, was looking way cleaner and coordinated. Even though they were still figuring things out with new addition, Tarik “tarik” Celik, they were obviously way more prepared than Cloud9.

Inferno was a bloodbath, with 20 plus kills on all but one member of MIBR. They would wipe the floor with Cloud and take the map 16-5. MIBR would come out of the gates hot, tactically they were good, and individually they were great. Cloud9 would make a game of it in map two, though. After a dominant first half by MIBR, Cloud9 would mount a great comeback to force overtime. However, MIBR would close the door and eliminate C9 from the ELEAGUE Premier. A bright spot for Cloud9 would be their longtime member Will “RUSH” Wierzba, who would lead the team with 30 kills.
Fnatic Defeats FaZe Clan In Thriller
This match may have been the most exciting match of the group stage so far. The first map in the match would be Dust II, where FaZe would jump out to an early lead, 9-6. However, after Fnatic manages to take an eight round win streak to tie the game 13-13. Fnatic takes three in a row in overtime, and their in-game leader Richard “xizt” Landström puts the cherry on top with a beautiful 4k.

Mirage, on the other hand, was messy, confusing and some of the most entertaining CS:GO in a while. In the madness, Fnatic manages to jump out to a 10-5 lead at the halftime. However, Fnatic strives in the chaos. They were looking calm throughout the map, while FaZe was not. The second half is close, but Fnatic remains steadfast in their attack. At the same time:
