Counter-Strike: Global Offensive‘s (CSGO) March 31 update introduced two new maps to the casual and scrimmage pools. Named Anubis and Chlorine, the maps take influence from exotic lands. Both additions were winners of Mapcore’s 2019 Exotic Places CSGO map contest. Take a stroll with Daily Esports as we break down essential areas of the map.

Chlorine, designed by Lizard and TheWhaleMan, is set in an abandoned water park. Furthermore, it features a Mayan-inspired backdrop. The park’s sunset lighting makes for beautiful textures and shadow details throughout. Chlorine’s overall design seems better suited for casual than competitive play. The uneven elevation throughout may take some time to get used to, but it makes for fun gunfights. As a player traverses Chlorine, they’ll notice several bridges, sneaky peek spots to keep tabs on the enemy, and KZ-friendly jumps.

CT and T spawn

CT Spawn Chlorine

CT spawn has three entrances to various parts of the map. When a player looks straight ahead, they’ll notice a doorway that leads to mid. Turn to the right side and you’ll notice a tunnel called “Crazy River” that leads to the B bombsite. Similarly, the left-side tunnel titled “Lazy River” takes players to the A bombsite.

Compared to Chlorine’s CT spawn, T spawn is smaller and has only two pathways. The left-side path leads to “Sneak Temple,” where you’ll meet a winding dragon tunnel. The center-right path leads to mid and A site. A fun addition to T spawn is the speaker pole, which plays ambient animal sounds when stood under.

B site

Underneath a simulated starry sky lies the B bombsite for Chlorine. The site features decorative totem poles, trees, and boxes to fight around or jump off of. B is enclosed and the smaller of the two plant sites.

There are two entrances into the B bombsite from CT spawn. The image above shows both views from CT spawn. The left image is the main entrance from CT, while the right image is looking down onto the site from B’s heaven view.

There’s one main entrance into B site from T Spawn, pictured above. There is another entrance from the mid area; however, it requires moving through a more dangerous area of the Chlorine map.

A site

On the other side of the map is A site, tucked beside a massive water slide. With the sun beaming into the main entrance, the CTs have a quick view of the plant region. Looking at the bomb site, it’s pretty small compared to the zone on other CSGO maps and is tucked on the left side from CT spawn.
