It seems as though the battle between streaming platform Twitch and Guy “DrDisrespect” Beahm is far from over. Yesterday, we received our first bit of news in the saga since the initial news of DrDisrespect’s ban back in late June. The Doc did a round of interviews that went live yesterday and even posted a telling Twitter video on where he currently stands. All in all, it appears that Doc is moving forward in terms of his entertainment/streaming plans. However, it looks like the Two-Time isn’t done with Twitch, as he could be suing the platform over his ban.

Battle between DrDisrespect and Twitch not over?

Nearly a month after the news broke and we still don’t have a reason as to why Doc was banned. There have been rumors circulating but nothing substantial. Even the interviews from yesterday didn’t produce anything on this front, as the streamer’s legal team declined to comment.

Although, one piece of news that did derive from the round of interviews was DrDisrespect’s possible intentions to take legal action against Twitch. This comment came from his interview with PC Gamer. When asked about why he’s been quiet on social media and other channels, the Doc responded with:

There are things behind the scenes in terms from a legal standpoint that, you know, I can’t… that’s where it’s at.

After this statement, the question of legal action was brought into play, in which the streamer simply responded:

We are considering taking legal action.

So, while nothing is confirmed, this route is certainly a possibility for DrDisrespect and his team. However, it doesn’t seem to be the main focus of the streamer, as his current plans are to evolve his character. “I’m working with my creative team, the graphics, going and taking like the whole Doc 3.0 experience to the next level, and so that’s where my focus is now.”

There’s no telling where this saga will take us next, but you can be sure Daily Esports will provide you with updates.
