Before Hogwarts Legacy was fully revealed, some fans were hoping that it would be a strict student simulator, similar to Rockstar Games’ “Bully.” Essentially, this would mean that players had a schedule with classes they had to attend at certain times. If they were late or missed class, they would be punished by the school. While that’s not totally the case in Hogwarts Legacy, players still have quests where they need to attend a certain class.
The main question players have now is, can they miss or be late to that class in Hogwarts Legacy?
Miss class in Hogwarts Legacy
Luckily for any fans of exploration out there, you do not have a strict schedule or timeframe for classes in Hogwarts Legacy. Once you receive the quest to attend a new class, you can go to it whenever your heart desires.
However, it should be noted, that the main story cannot progress if you do not attend your classes. Those classes are a part of the main story quest line, and you need to complete them if you want to get your next quest. So while you can’t be late to a certain class, you also technically can’t miss it. Although, “missing class” here has a different meaning than it does in the real world. The class will not begin without you present.
So if you want to take your time with the main story and blow off Potions class for a few hours while exploring the castle, completing side quests, or solving Merlin Trials, you can do that. But you will eventually need to take the class to progress in Hogwarts Legacy.
