A new internal document image from Activision Blizzard has surfaced that gives fans a supposed release date for Call of Duty: Warzone 2. The internal document gives games and updates from the publisher a “readiness level,” essentially determining how close they are to being fully released. In addition to several World of Warcraft expansions and updates, the early access period for Overwatch 2 PvP and Modern Warfare 2 (codenamed COD Cortez), the document offers a launch date for Warzone 2.

According to the document, Warzone 2 will globally release on Nov. 16 at 10 AM PST.

Some fans have wondered if this document is legitimate, but other games on the list have been confirmed to release on the day that’s specified in the document. For example, the WotLK update in World of Warcraft Classic is outlined as releasing on Aug. 30 in the document, and that was just confirmed earlier this month.

As for Warzone 2, this is the first time that we’re seeing any rough release date. Previously, Activision stated that the new iteration of Warzone would arrive sometime after the launch of Modern Warfare 2 on Oct. 28. Many fans thought that Warzone 2 would arrive with the Season 1 update in MW2, and the supposed release date of Nov. 16 lines up with that thought. Nov. 16 is three weeks after MW2 launches on Oct. 28, which is the normal timeline before the first big update arrives in a new Call of Duty.

Warzone 2 itself will be an entirely new experience for fans. It will feature a new map, fully integrated MW2 weapons and other content, and new gameplay elements. The original Warzone will not be ported over, so fans won’t have their blueprints, Operators, and other content in Warzone 2.

The next iteration of Warzone will be fully revealed at Call of Duty Next on Sept. 15. This event will also reveal Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer and Warzone Mobile. With this internal document now leaked, we might see an official release date for Warzone 2 announced at Call of Duty Next. We’ll have to wait and see if that turns out to be true or not.
