Newly-revealed artwork on the login screen of Warner Bros. Games’ crossover platform fighter shows off two new villains that are making their way into the game. DC antihero Black Adam and “Gremlins” antagonist Stripe will be the next playable characters to join MultiVersus.

MultiVersus director Tony Huynh confirmed on Sunday that previously-unannounced characters would appear on the login screen after Monday’s patch. However, these two new characters leaked early due to a premature advertisement promoted on the Xbox home page.

While Black Adam and Stripe are the only new characters on the updated artwork, fans can reportedly expect another “Gremlins” character in MultiVersus. MultiVersus leaker Susie has claimed that “Gremlins” protagonist Gizmo is a two-in-one character, alongside Stripe.

Though Gizmo is not on the updated artwork, it is possible that Huynh has already hinted at his inclusion. On Saturday, a tweet from Huynh suggested that a character wielding a bow and arrows might join the game. This could be a reference to Gizmo, who uses a makeshift bow and arrow in “Gremlins.”

More about Black Adam and Stripe in MultiVersus

Black Adam and the tag team of Stripe and Gizmo will likely be the third and fourth new characters to join MultiVersus during Season 1. “Rick and Morty” star Morty will become available on August 23. Then, Rick will join the game sometime later in Season 1.

While Black Adam does not appear to use his design from the upcoming “Black Adam” movie, it is still possible that his in-game release date could coincide with the launch of the movie. If that’s the case, fans could expect to get their hands on him sometime around October 21.

The patch notes for the first Season 1 update are already available. In addition, a second update with a handful of additional changes will launch a few days after the initial patch.
