The long awaited Season 6 reveal for Apex Legends finally occurred today, as Respawn Entertainment released a new trailer. More of a cinematic trailer, the short video showcases the new legend coming in Season 6, being Rampart. This was long leaked as the most likely outcome but now it’s official. Along with Rampart, Apex Legends is introducing a familiar weapon, which is the Volt submachine gun from the Titanfall franchise. Let’s check out the full trailer and what you can expect in Season 6.

Apex Legends Season 6 trailer

The official name for this season appears to be “Boosted” and has a more colorful theme than in previous installments. This is largely in part thanks to Rampart’s overall style, which features a ton of spray paint and multicolor clothing.

Rampart herself looks to be a mechanic of sorts and sports a huge Gatlin gun named “Sheila.” This is where the “All Hail Sheila” phrase comes from on various World’s Edge billboards and signs. To see Rampart in action, you can view the official trailer below courtesy of Apex Legends.

While Respawn didn’t offer any full explanation on Rampart’s abilities, we at least know her gun, Sheila, will be her Ultimate ability. Presumably, you’ll be able to use Sheila for a short duration and mow down any enemies that get in your way.

As for the other abilities, there are some leaks that detail what Rampart could possess. These leaks include abilities like using a wrench to fix structures and building cover for you and your teammates. Of course, we’ll have to wait for more information to know exactly what Rampart can do in Apex Legends.

In addition to Rampart, Apex Legends Season 6 will introduce the Volt submachine gun. This weapon was first seen in the Titanfall series and is a fairly popular gun. An energy-based SMG, the Volt is a fairly balanced weapon all-around, but it’ll be interesting to see what attachments could be available for it.

Season 6 launches Aug. 16-17 and Daily Esports will have all of the coverage you need, so stay tuned for that!
