Apex Legends Season 16: Reverly brings class shuffles and a new perk system among other in-game changes. The new season also brings an end to the old classes of offense and defense, with each legend joining a class instead. The revamped classes in Reverly include recon, skirmisher, assault, controller, and support.

The recon class has been in Apex for a long while now with the Legends able to scan Survey Beacons. Recon legends are the information trackers who focus on enemy intel and tracking.

However, Apex Season 16 is introducing a new twist to the recon class legends. Instead of getting the next ring location after scanning a Survey Beacon, recon legends will be able to see nearby enemies for 30 seconds. Even though the enemies will be alerted that they are revealed, this class perk makes recon legends the most valuable heading into the new season.

Ranked recon class legends in Apex Legends Revelry

With the new season kicking off today, here are all the Recon class Legends and how they rank.

  • A-Tier: Bloodhound
  • B-Tier: Seer
  • C-Tier: Vantage, Crypto

Bloodhound

Bloodhound is one of the best recon legends in the game and is currently the fourth most-picked legend in any mode. Moreover, Bloodhound alongside Seer has dominated the scan-meta which has ruled the game. However, Respawn is introducing major reworks to both Legends in an effort to cut down the scan meta. Bloodhound in Reverly will now have a  completely different passive and several kit changes.

His passive now includes white ravens that occasionally spawn when no enemies are around. The white ravens can be interacted with or scanned to trigger them to fly towards the nearest enemy player. The ravens will leave a misty trail behind for Bloodhound to follow and will share this direction with their team on the map.

Respawn nerfed Bloodhounds Tactical, Eye of the Allfather. The full body scan time was reduced from three seconds to one second. However, the diamond target on scanned enemy will not change. His ultimate will no longer recharge or speed up the cooldown rate of his tactical. Rather, it will launch a white raven that flies towards the nearest enemy. Killing an enemy while in ultimate mode will also trigger a white raven.

Seer

Seer is also another top recon class legend. However, with the nerfs and reworks in Apex Legends Season 16, he will no longer be an overpowered pick in the game which makes Bloodhound the clear favorite in the ranking. Unlike Bloodhound, Seer’s tactical ability is focused in a single direction but reveals more information.

The audio from Seer’s passive is now more audible to enemy players; activation is now delayed to match raise animation of weapon or unarmed. Moreover, Seer’s Tactical no longer shows full body scans on scanned targets. His ultimate no longer reveals on initiation with duration reduced to 25 seconds and cooldown increased to 180 seconds.

Crypto

Crypto the hacking legend is also in the recon class and has been part of Apex since Season 3. Unlike other recon legends, Crypto is one of the hardest to use and is not recommended for beginners. This is mainly because of his deployable drone tactical ability. There are no major reworks to Crypto in Revelry but his pick rate could increase with the new class perks for recon legends.

Vantage

Vantage is the last recon class legend and of the newer legends in Apex. She was unveiled in the game in July 2022 with Season 14. With many still preferring Bloodhound and Seer over any other recon legend, it will be hard for her to move further up in rank. However, her mobility can be very useful and her abilities always give her an advantage in sniper fights.
