As one of the most sought-after fire type Pokémon in the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet versions, Charcadet is a must-have for any player wanting to breeze through the game with one of the best fire attackers in the Paldea region. Depending on the version of the game, players will be able to evolve Charcadet into the physical attacker, Armarogue (if they have Pokémon Scarlet) or the special attacker, Ceruledge (if they have Pokémon Violet). But before a player can even think about evolving Charcadet, they have to catch one first.

As a general reminder, players can check the location of any Pokémon they want to catch at any time by heading into the Pokédex and looking at their information screen. From there simply scroll to the Pokémon you are interested in and hit the plus button on the controller which will bring up the habitat map which will show all the locations a Pokémon is in. However, players will only have access to this if they have seen the Pokémon in the wild or trainer battle before. If a player hasn’t seen a Charcadet before, here are all the locations it appears in.

Charcadet actually appears in almost every area in the game; it would be easier to explain the locations it’s not in. With that said, players will not be able to find Charcadet in the ice and water areas of the map. This means that Charcadet is present in almost every other area; however, there are specific biomes that Charcadet is usually hiding in. When in the wild, players should keep an eye out for rocky areas, caves, forests and mountains — these are the areas Charcadet will typically be hanging around. The general rule of thumb when looking for Charcadet is that it exists off the pathway; look for corners of areas and Charcadet should be waiting.
