It sounds strange to say, but there are over 900 total camos available to earn and use in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This includes multiplayer, Zombies, and all of the camos that were earnable in MW2.

As there are almost too many camos to even track, you might be a little curious as to what they all are and how to unlock each and every one. I have separate guides on how to unlock the different Mastery Camos for multiplayer and Zombies in MW3, but now I’m going to take you through every single camo available in the game as well as how to unlock them.

How to unlock camos in Modern Warfare 3

If you played any MW2, then you know exactly how to unlock every camo in MW3. The process is basically the exact same and has been directly ported over from the previous game.

For those of you who are new or just need a refresher, here’s a brief breakdown of the camo unlock system in MW3:

  • Nearly every weapon in multiplayer and Zombies has four different base camos to earn (Launchers and melee weapons only have one)
  • You unlock the base camo challenges by reaching different levels for a specific weapon (i.e. the third challenge unlocks at weapon level 19)
  • Once you unlock a base camo challenge, you need to complete the challenge to unlock that specific camo. That camo can then be used on any weapon in MW3 (even the MW2 weapons)
  • After all four of the base camos are unlocked for a weapon, you can then start going for the Mastery Camos, which are unlocked in different ways depending on the weapon class and mode.

As there are four different camos available for all 114 weapons in MW3 across multiplayer and Zombies, you can see how there are over 900 camos to earn. While I won’t list all of the individual camos in the game, I will list all of the base camo sets that are in MW3. Camo sets are what each camo falls under and the names of the sets offer a description as to how they are designed in-game. Then, there are the Mastery Camos, which are in a class of their own.

In total, there are 18 base camo sets for the new Modern Warfare 3 weapons across multiplayer and Zombies. Every base camo you earn in either mode falls into one of the 18 camo sets. There are 37 total weapons in MW3, giving us access to 278 new camos. All of this is on top of the Mastery Camos plus all of the returning camos from the MW2 weapons.

Below, I will list all of the base camo set names along with all of the Mastery Camos so you can see exactly what you’re going to be unlocking in MW3. I will also include the base camo sets and Mastery Camos from MW2 to offer a complete picture of the camo system.
